Starting my career working for WebMD was one of many pivotal steps, that have lead to my success.  I was initiated into a fast-paced, well run enterprise environment.  Where I was blessed to have great mentors that helped me develop into a Unix/Linux specialist for the next 10 years.  I worked on mission critical healthcare EMR/ERP system and deployments. With notable deployment at NYU, Downton Medical Center and Beth Israel Hospital.  There were a few hundred deployments in healthcare facilities, billing centers and doctors offices as well.  These consisted of Unix or AIX systems, with a few Linux servers (for supporting functions) and Windows 2000 clients.   I moved on to SER Solutions in early 2000, working in their R&D Department.  I joined as a Jr. Platform Engineer, but wound up running as a one man team, with some help for my entire tenure.  Here I was responsible for certifying all supported hardware for their predictive dialing  call center solution, and maintaining all provisioning and support automation tools.  This is also where I was exposed to the software development lifecycle. I also worked on Linux extensively, porting tools system support tools (Bash Scripts and C) from Unix.  I moved and went on to work at ProHealth, supporting their EMR, Imaging and Lab systems running Unix/Linux. This was my first time working for a non-service provider. IT was interesting, as reporting and data-management was a major focus of technical operations for the first time in my career. I served as their first HIPAA Officer, as the mandate was taking affect.  Here I also expanded my windows administration skills to support the environment. 

The next major leap in my career took place, when I joined PCS and later Eze Castle (Managed Service Providers).  Providing a period of major technical growth and development in the areas of Networks, Microsoft platforms, Disaster Recovery and Service Management.  Consulting as a technical lead, providing professional services.  Then progressing to service manager and project manager, working on hundreds of deployments and projects.   Providing me with real-world experience and technical depth to work on large and complex technical projects.  Successfully delivering multi-million dollar infrastrcture and managing their operation.  With a career highlight in 2014, when I assembled a team and managed a datacenter build-out, facilitating weather services to over 5 million mobile app users (Morecast Download). 

This however would not have been possible, without my experience at Conway Stores. I joined the team to take-over management of service operations.  I hit the ground running, made improvements to technical processes and began a long journey, Managing support operations while winning over and building an productive support team.  With the mentorship of Vince Silletti, the VP of IT, I was able to mature as an IT leader and grow with the company.  Starting with 24 stores and growing to 150 stores with 8 thousand employees. Our team grew from 4 - 12 and to 12hour by 7 days a week.   The team was continuously improving and working towards the next milestone.  We didn't realize the level of cohesion and comradery we had achieved, until the business was closing down.  While I have had impressive technical achievements, building the team we had at Conway Stores has been my greatest career achievement. 

While still very hands-on, I now serve in a leadership capacity, developing support teams and departments.  Leveraging technology to improve business processes and address pain-points.  Delving into data and information to find new key's to address business challenges.  Developing solutions that can impactfully improve business processes. 

I am excited about the future and the next challenge in this ongoing journey.
